Flavio Maluf highlights how Brazilian businesses can reap from the proposed tax incentive laws

His Education background

Flavio Maluf graduated from the University of Armando AlvaresPenteado Foundation, where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Despite his degree in Mechanical Engineering, Flavio Maluf always had the desire of being an entrepreneur which forced him to venture into business full time. He took charge of his family business in 1977. Flavio is also the president of Grandfood Company.

His Focus and Persistence

Flavio always advises people who are interested in joining the corporate world to go ahead, but cautiously. Most business people believe that having a business of their own would mean that they work little and earn big money. Which according to Flavio Maluf, is a myth. He believes that for your business to succeed, you need to sacrifice and dedicate your time to building it.

Mr. Flavio Maluf added in his proposal that another myth that people need to address is money. He said that it’s common among people that one must have enough money to start a business, which is false. Flavio argued that there are several business modules which require little capital. Nowadays, he narrated, a lot of investors seek new business ideas depending on where you are looking.

How he conceived the Idea of establishing Eucatex

Flavio Maluf said in an interview that his idea of the foundation of Eucatex came from his great-grandfather, Salim. Salim had one of the biggest sawmills in the Latin America, which was founded originally in 1940. He went and touched that by 1960’s his uncle and father concluded to use the sawmill forest in making wood fiber lining company. And the name Eucatex originated from Eucalyptus. Eucatex uses Eucalyptus wood in manufacturing the slabs for industry needs, and civil construction products.
